On September 20,the launching ceremony of the"Hongyi",the world's largest diameter hard rock tunnel boring machine for water diversion projects,jointly developed by China Railway Equipment Group and Sinohydro Bureau Group Co.,Ltd.,was held at the Dali Section I Construction No.2(Xianglu Mountain Tunnel)project site of the Dianchi Water Diversion Project,marking that the section has officially entered the TBM construction stage and started a new journey for the construction of the Dianchi Water Diversion Project.

The excavation diameter of the"Hongyi"TBM is 9.84 meters,the total length is 245 meters,and the total weight is 2,100 tons.It is the world's largest diameter double-structure TBM for water diversion and regulation projects independently developed in China.It is also a construction tool tailored to adapt to the extremely complex geological environment of the Xianglu Mountain Tunnel.The equipment adopts a series of targeted designs and is equipped with advanced geological prediction systems,intelligent mixed spraying,slag-water separation and other functions.Many of its designs and construction processes are domestic firsts.

In March 2022,the"Hongyi"TBM was successfully rolled off the production line at China Railway Electric Construction.To ensure the smooth launch of the equipment,the China Railway Equipment Technical Service Team and the project department worked together to make plans in advance,rationally allocate resources,and efficiently completed the installation,on-site assembly and commissioning of the"Hongyi",laying a solid foundation for its scheduled launch.

It is understood that the Dianzhong Water Diversion Project is a landmark project among the 172 major water-saving and water supply projects identified by the State Council,and is also the largest and most invested water resources allocation project in southwest China.The Xianglu Mountain Tunnel has the characteristics of crossing many underground faults,large soft rock deformation,high earthquake intensity,abundant underground water gushing,great rock burst hazards,and high geothermal temperature.It is the most representative deep-buried long tunnel,key difficulty and control project of the entire Dianzhong Water Diversion Project.The 9.83-meter-diameter hard rock tunnel boring machine"Yunling"independently developed by China Railway Equipment is under efficient construction in the Xianglu Mountain Tunnel(Dali Section I Construction 3).
